Privacy Policy

The short version

ChronoKeeper is built privacy-first. Your family's data lives in your own iCloud account, not on our servers. We don't operate a database of your family's information, we can't read your data, and we never sell or share it. Screen-time activity is processed on your devices by Apple and is never sent to us.

Who we are

ChronoKeeper is made by 3K2P Studios ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information the app handles, where it lives, and the choices you have. It applies to the ChronoKeeper iOS app and this website (3k2p.com).

How ChronoKeeper is designed

ChronoKeeper uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) so that your family's data is stored in your Apple account and synced privately between your own devices and the devices you manage. We do not run application servers that receive or store this data. Because of this design, most of the information you put into ChronoKeeper is never accessible to 3K2P Studios at all.

What information is involved, and where it lives

• Family & settings data you create — child profile names, ages or age brackets, missions/tasks, time rewards, schedules, and protection settings. This is stored in your iCloud account via Apple CloudKit (private and, for linked family members, shared databases). 3K2P Studios cannot read or access it.
• Screen Time & device-activity data — which apps are in use and time spent is processed on-device through Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time frameworks so the app can apply limits and shields. This data stays on the device and is not collected or transmitted to us.
• Temporary coordination data — short-lived items such as device pairing codes are stored briefly in the app's shared public CloudKit database so two devices can connect. These are non-sensitive and expire or are cleared after use.
• Purchases — subscriptions and the one-time Lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We receive Apple's transaction/entitlement status to unlock features, but we do not receive or store your payment-card details.
• Optional diagnostics — if you choose to send a bug report from the app, it contains technical diagnostics only (e.g., app version, device model, error logs). It does not include child names, task names, or your family data.

What we do not do

• We don't sell, rent, or trade your or your children's personal information.
• We don't use advertising networks, ad SDKs, or data brokers.
• We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs to profile you or your children.
• We don't track your children's activity for our own purposes — enforcement happens on-device for your family only.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

ChronoKeeper is a parental tool, set up and controlled by a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult. Any information about a child is entered by that adult and stored in the adult's own iCloud account — not collected by us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for our own use, and we do not require a child to provide any personal information to use the app.

Because the family data resides in the managing adult's Apple account, the adult can review or delete it at any time (see "Your choices" below). If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it. [Confirm final COPPA / GDPR-K and Apple Kids-category posture with counsel.]

Service providers

We rely on Apple for iCloud/CloudKit storage and sync and for App Store payments. Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not use other third-party processors of personal data. [Update this section if you ever add analytics, crash reporting, email, or hosting that touches personal data.]

Data retention

Family and settings data persists in your iCloud account until you delete it, dissolve your family in the app, or remove the app's iCloud data. Temporary coordination data (such as pairing codes) is short-lived and clears automatically. We do not maintain our own long-term copy of your family data.

Security

Your data is protected by Apple's iCloud security and your Apple ID. Maximum-protection mode additionally relies on Apple's Screen Time passcode to prevent tampering on a managed child's device. Keep your Apple ID and Screen Time passcode private and secure.

International users

ChronoKeeper stores data in your Apple iCloud account; the location and transfer of that data is determined by Apple. Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data — which, for ChronoKeeper, you can largely exercise yourself because the data is in your own account. Your choices

Because your data lives in your iCloud, you control it directly: deleting the app's data, removing a child, or dissolving your family in the app removes the corresponding records from CloudKit. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. You can stop all enforcement by removing ChronoKeeper from the managed device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves or as laws change. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on this site.
