Terms of Use

Effective date: June 21, 2026 · Last updated: June 21, 2026

⚠️ Final review recommended. Have a qualified attorney review these Terms before launch. Apple also requires that purchases follow the Apple Media Services / standard EULA terms — you may use Apple's standard EULA in place of or alongside these Terms; confirm your approach.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using ChronoKeeper ("the App"), provided by 3K2P Studios ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the App. If you're using the App on behalf of your family, you accept these Terms for everyone you set up.

2. What ChronoKeeper does

ChronoKeeper is a parental tool that helps families manage screen time and assign tasks ("missions") that children complete to earn screen time. It relies on Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time frameworks and on iCloud (CloudKit) to function. You are responsible for configuring it appropriately for your family and for the devices you choose to manage.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult — and able to form a binding agreement — to set up and manage a family. You may only manage devices you own or are authorized to manage. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Apple ID and Screen Time passcode secure.

4. Free trial, subscriptions & billing

5. What happens if a plan lapses

Enforcement runs during your free trial and any active plan, including Apple's billing-grace period. If a subscription fully lapses past Apple's grace period, ChronoKeeper releases managed enforcement on the child's device and the device returns to a normal, unmanaged state until you resubscribe. We do this intentionally so a child's device is never left locked because of a billing issue. Re-subscribing restores your settings and enforcement.

6. Acceptable use

Use the App only on devices you own or are authorized to manage, and in compliance with applicable laws. Don't misuse the App, reverse-engineer it, interfere with its operation, or use it to monitor or restrict anyone you are not legally authorized to manage.

7. Your content & data

Family data you create (profiles, missions, settings) is stored in your own iCloud account, as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain responsibility for that content. We don't claim ownership of it and don't access it.

8. Intellectual property

The App, the ChronoKeeper name, the Chrono character, and related branding are owned by 3K2P Studios. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the App normally.

9. Third-party services

ChronoKeeper depends on Apple services (iCloud/CloudKit, Family Controls/Screen Time, the App Store). Your use of those services is also governed by Apple's terms and policies. We are not responsible for Apple's services or for changes Apple makes to its frameworks.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." Screen-time enforcement depends on Apple's frameworks and on device behavior we don't control, so we don't warrant that the App will block every app in every situation, on every device, at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. [Counsel to finalize warranty language.]

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 3K2P Studios will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. [Counsel to finalize.]

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold 3K2P Studios harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law. [Counsel to confirm scope.]

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end access if you materially violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. [Confirm jurisdiction/venue and any arbitration clause with counsel.]

15. Changes

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or on this site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
